do you have to take all the exhaust heat shielding off to ajust it?

Yeah, you need to remove a section to get at the nut. Some mk2ph1s had an adjusting nut on the handbrake lever.

^^ no you dont, just give it a little pull down at the end, and you can get on it with a deep 13mm sockey and extension! Push it back up afterwards and it will look no different!

just saves time!! renault heatshields are made of kit kat wrappers as i am sure your aware!
