Hands Free Kit (Make: Parrot) Clio Installation

I got a Nokia kit fitted in mine, down by the gear stick:

Was going to attempt it myself but didn't fancy the routing of the mic up to a useable place - it's next to the interior light

Its easy to route wires upto by the interior light, found out how to do it when installing my sat nav in my visor.

Nokia kit works brill. It did play my MP3 ringtones through the HU when I had Nokia phone. Now I got a SE it just rings. Getting Nokia next month though. Wish Bluetooth would allow more than one phone to connect at a time - obviously only being able to take one call at a time.

I have one of them parrot kits off ebay, fully voice activated - with the radio on about volume 9/10 you can say 'telephone' and it'll mute the radio and beep, then say 'home' (or whatever) and it'll dial, when you're done say 'hangup' and it'll cut off. V.v.cool!

I was so impressed that I bought 3, 1 for me, 1 for the missus and 1 for a mate. After seeing it I've just sorted one for my brother and another mate!

Plus it wires straight into the car speakers as standard, unlike the Nokia (I sold for £50 and bought a parrot for the same money) which needs a special cable to make it work from the car speakers.

Ok - what a big rant, you'd think i'm a parrot salesman or something!! (which I'm not by the way).

In summary...buy one, you'll be pleased you did!

I need to move the microphone on my Parrot kit - it's echoing, rumbling and people can't understand a word I'm saying at the moment - used to be fine!

Where does everyone put theirs?
Mine's on the A-Pillar at the moment as it did work there perfectly.. but now it seems it's gone wrong - they recommend near the rear view mirror?

I was considering buying one of these, not a bad price either but I'll try locate one for £50 :D

I installed the exact same kit as the one on eb-bay, took about 30 mins, v.easy. Just plugs into back of stereo, bluetooth unit put in glove box.

Where did you put the mic??? Did you remove the side panel or did you pass the wire through the overhead light ???

Could you suggest where the best place to put the mic is and how toii remove the panels without destroying the dashboard/console??

Thanks

Alan Brock
