Harness mounting points to pass an MOT

  ph1 track weapon
Hi all,

just wondering where I need to have harnesses mounted to pass an MOT? are there specific points they have to be fitted to? currently they're secure but not sure they'd be classed as road legal

any help much appreciated

The orignal rear seat belt mounting points are a favourite...

As long as you have them "securely" fastened there shouldn't be a problem, i.e. proper load spreading plates

Its mounted in the isofix bar bolt with the correct parts so assume it'll be ok.

Gray is that decat of yours available yet?

for the rear though, which points should i use?

to the rear seat belt anchorage in the seat base (need to take the rear belt and seat base out; if the seat base is there, it'll fail as you've no seat belt for it). not sure what they'd make of attachment to the isofix bar? might be ok

or just put the inertia reel back in so you don't have to worry about it

dont have anything at all behind the front seats. no belts, plastics, seats. think i'll move it to the rear seat belt mounts to be on the safe side then. To fit the bits to use standard belts to Bimarcos is a pain in the ass, so think i'll put it through with harnesses.

I have a feeling i've found a friendly MOT man so i should be ok
