harnesses..eses...in a v6???

  An orange one
where do these mount to..??

can they still look fairly tidy..

are harnesses an arse in general??

Cant answer your Q about mounting, but harnesses are a pain in the arse for checking your blind spot

  M2 Competition
Aye, have to take them off to reverse too. And to get things from the glovebox. Wouldnt get them again, unless i could have normal seatbelts too, or if it was for an out and out track car. 4 point 3" harnesses (with fighter pilot style buckle) hold you in soooo much better, the seat belt clip type ones are a bit of a compromise.

Mine are mounted to the subframe by the handbrake, and to the seatbelt mounting point behind the door. In the rear, mounted to rear seat belt mounting point. Not sure where you'd mount them too at the back of a vee though mate!

might just stick with the standards then??...will have to get yozza to mount somewhere for the buckle on the frames when they make them :)

so they are an arse for daily driving?

There terribale for daily driving I''d keep the stock belt and clips the harnesses in for track use if needs be.

ive not had any problems with every day driving to be honest.... no need to have the stupidly tight if ure pottering along

yes in simple word they are on my mates you lean forwards hard and it starts to undo , he doesnt even look over the blind spot anymore....

i got harnesses and knew about all these niggly problems, so i got the ones with the inertier mechanisum (basicly work like a normal seatbelt) so i can still lean forward at junctions etc, but with the normal harness on the passenger side means they cant go nosing through the glovebox or change the radio settings :D PERFECT!

I got recliners and think it dont look right having them with normal seatbelts.

i have sparco harnesses which are 3 point. These are easy to tighten and slacken off with some special release things on the shoulder belts.

Yes they are a pain sometimes if you want to reach to the glovebox etc but thats the price you pay to be more secure and to get the look.

I dont mind the compromise. Ive mounted them the same as Peperami in mine. You can use the two front mounts as we have, but the rear is your problem ;)

If your stuck you can always downgrade to a 182 :)

I love my harnesses had them in most of my cars. Wouldnt go back to seat belts, feel 100% more secure in the 3 points.

I dont notice them being a pain day to day, but i did buy a cointroller for my cd player as it makes it alot easier. :p
