has anyone put a cone air filter on a mk3 clio?

  Clio mk3
hey guys just wondering has anyone put a cone air filter on a mk3 clio? as i put one on and run into a few problems that include the engine management light, service light and its also displaying 'check emissions'. and if you have got a after market air filter on what did you put on the oil breather pipe?

I think Ktr made a come filter set up for the mk3's not sure if it's available though.

I dont see why it would bring a warning light up though, are you sure you havnt left anything disconnected?

Isnt there a second inlet thats points towards the back of the passenager side headlight?
yea it comes towards the center by the grill,i stuck a diagnostic kit on it and it just turned all the lights that were on off, must of been cause of the change of air flow?

I was on about the inlet that to the right of the airbox, if so, theres a solenoid that controls a flap on the second inlet, it brings up a fault when you unplug it.

Car is a non sport so chances are it doesn't come with a acoustic valve.

Why do you want to have a cone filter anyway? Your just going to lose performance with that location. I have a 1.1 TCE and I just kept the standard airbox but with a pipercross panel filter. Thickness between the two was astonishing and the car felt more responsive. (Yes the old one was dirty).

Because it gives a nice induction noise and it actually sounds really good.
