Have Any Of You.........?

  53 plate Clio 172
Yes does come with metal pedals.
I bought the car second hand and the pedals were worn when i bought it.

Well, I'd get the same ones again personally.

They are pretty nice from what I remember.

Some I think you have to be careful cus' they arn't road legal - the Renault ones definetly are..

the last 172 i had was on 30 and the ally plate had worn and also the pedal itself underneath was wearing too!

you can get them from renault but they are about 40 each!

  Shhh
just get some autosol on them... that bring them up and they ment to be how they are, unless you have a metal file stuck to your foot.

The original alloy pedals do wear out , depends on your driving position . I'm 6'1" and like to sit close to the steering wheel so it means i press the pedals more sideways on than on the top so i wore out the sides of the clutch n brake pedals . So i just got some grade A aluminium sheet and made some new ones . You wouldn't tell the difference between them and the original renault ones except mine are better quality and more harder wearing .

As to using autosol on your pedals . Do ya really want shiny , " slippery " pedals ? Especially with the wet ,maybe even snowy weather approaching ?

Your asking for problems .

how do metal pedals wear out, any photos?

They wear out cos they are thin aluminium covers , not full pedals .Aluminium is only soft .
