Have clio front speakers got crossovers....?

im looking at upgrading my front speakers and need to know if the wiring to the speakers/tweeters has any form of crossover/resistor on the speakers.

From what I've heard, its not a crossover, instead its some form of capacitor/resistor that filters out the low/mid frequencies

A capacitor with a resistor in parallell is a High Pass Filter. Depending on the values of the components, it will only allow frerquencies above the cut off frequency to pass and stop (attenuate) frequencies below it.

I didn't know they had these, but I suppose they had to have something to stop the tweeters from blowing. lol.

Yup. But if you don't disconnect the OEM tweeters you'll be bombarded with treble. I put some JBL two ways in my doors and there's way too much treble imho. Never got round to doing anything about it though.

Straight feed then. All good, Dansta send me your keys, some cash and what you want and I'll sort it!

I only notice the treble if I fade fully to the front, with the rears in it doesn't sound too bad, the rears are quite muddy really and the tweeters do a great benefit of hiding this really.
I wouldn't bother disconnecting the tweeters because you'll have to take the dash off and imo they do a good job of adding some clarity to the high frequencies, each to there own though I suppose.
