Driving to work this morning and my accelorator suddenly dropped about half way and revs dropped the same. (Was pushing it a bit at the time but not too much)

Got in after work and nothing wrong but same thing hapend about 5 mins later.

No nocks, bumps etc. pedal is just lower. However even though i have less travel I get more responce, fully open at the floor.

Only thing that feels wrong is when i change gear my pedal drops.
And when i floor it it feels like my pedal is pushing up on my foot.

Popped the bonnet when i got home and the underside of the bonnet has coolant on it and when i put power on the cap blew.

Anyone had similar problems? Know a solution.

Check where your accelerator cable is routed.

I know where its mounted, i mounted it.

How would this cause the problem?

Might be near the exhaust manifold or caught round something.

yeah, cable might have melted abit inside, making it lumpyo and sticky

nope, ave mounted it in the hoist loops, well away from the mani.

cant see a problem with the cable.

And what would explain my coolant tank blowing? (temp sensor no where near over heat)
