Have they sent me the wrong one?

My pipercross pannel airfilter came for my 2002 1.6 16v yesterday. I tried fitting it today and from what i can tell they have messed up the sizes.
I have never fitted one before so could be totally out on this one.

The shape of the filter for the 1.6 is wider at the bottom than it is at the top.

The photo shows what i think must be the back of boh filters. But rather than being the same shape the pipercross one is a mirror of the original one.

It took POTN.com 11 days to post it to me so im thinking that maybe, with the 1.6 being quite rare, they had to get another one made up and the dimension were miss read.

They've made is symmetrical - it is the wrong one, sent it back to them with that photo^^^

It is, but a mirror image, so wont fit.

how can a company so big make such a simple mistake?

now its going to cost me money to post it back and will have cost me money to get it posted out here in the first place!

I will be very annoyed if they dont cover my costs for return postage and post me the correct one out free of charge and much faster this time!
