Having a laugh!!!

As my insurance is up this week been looking around. Tried confused and best was £530 odd full comp. now I have a few mods on or going on, so updated the quote to include exhaust, wheels, air filter and lowered up 25mm.

Udate prices and cheapest is nearly 1k!!! There is no way I am paying that for those really small mods. Bit shocked really as I'm 25 driving 8 years, 7ncb thought it would be a lot cheaper

Can anyone recommend a good company to go to?

I've just done mine with Greenlight, were well over £200 cheaper than anyone else. That's with Springs, Whiteline ARB and Steering Wheel.

If you want mods then you need to go to a specialist for a modified policy. Admiral wanted £800 extra for the combination of my very small modifications.

I'm now insured with Brentace as they gave me the best price and I can add any modification I like without any charges (I have my power capped at 200bhp at the moment, so until I break that nothing changes)

So try Brentacre, Greenlight and Skyinsurance on here. All very helpful guys and I'm sure you'll get a better price than what you have already mate.

For reference I'm 24. Have 1 year NCB. Have my 182 insured to a value of about £7k. All my mods declared, including cams, cage and buckets for £929 per year.

WIth mine I played quotes off the four main modified insurance companies, Adrian Flux, Sky, Greenlight and Brentacre. They were all super helpful, in the end brentacre matched Sky, and because I had already been with brentacre I decided to stay as i knew they were really good.

First time I have tried greenlight and they came up trumps for me. A plan (thatcham branch) matched it, but then greenlight did even better.

Try esure they quoted me 270 a year comp on a 182 with with alloys and lowering included but no performance mods.
