I could scream!!!!! Some of you may know that my car got hit and run 5 weeks ago and left some serious rear panel damage. Well after 4 weeks in the bodyshop i got a call on Saturday saying the car will be ready for this Tuesday just gone. I thought great, can't wait to get it back.
Yesterday morning got a call saying 'Sorry sir,we're having problems matching your paint, its very rare (black/gold) so i'm bringing in a specialist at 4pm and it will be ready for Wednesday 4pm'. I thought fair enough,as long as they do a proper job,one more day won't matter. BTW it's being repaired at Nissan as Renault here don't have a workshop yet and Nissan are the company that brought them over to the UAE.
Whilst walking to my rental car this morning i notice i have a flat tyre...oh no sign of things to come.....sure enough the bodyshop rings mid way through changing the flat saying ' Sorry sir,it appears the paint doesn't match and we'll need to sand it down again and start again,it will be ready Thursday.' I said thats impossible as your closed Thursday and Friday for the weekend. So now looking at best for Saturday if these bunch of monkeys can sort the paint out,he also informed me,its not starting up properly, now by this point i had steam coming out of my ears as the car entered the workshop running great except the centre section which had a rattle but apart from that it was perfect. They've had the fuel line out as the damage was over the fuel cap area so i presume they've fucked up somewhere. I'm dealing with people who haven't a clue about Renault or the Clio and quite simply its driving me insane.
Sorry for the rant, but i just have to get it off my chest...
