Hazard llights keep coming on

This only started yesterday when the car is locked. Weve had the car for 2 years and the hazard light button doesnt even work, but now they have started coming on randomly when the car is locked. But when the hazard button is held in they go off, so now a match stick is in place to see if that stops it happening. Any ideas before we send it off to get diagnosed? (last resort before xmas money is tight)

Buy a new hazard switch, or cheaper a working switch off ebay or on here... i can see a new switch being around (£15-25) from the dealers.

Flat head screw driver to the side of the panel that holds the central locking / Hazard switch / Rear demister switches, prise the panel off, and from there you can unplug and unclip the switch and replace with a working one.

It'll be the spring in the switch, exact same thing happened to mine just before i picked it up from the dealers.

Could you elaberate more sorry? If i take the switch out what do i do next?

You will need to buy a new switch as it comes with a spring. But the dealers fitted mine before i picked the car up so can't give much more info sorry.
