Hazard Switch replacement.

Realised today that my hazard switch no longer works, there's no longer a click when you press it. :dapprove:

I've done a search and read a few threads about it, I know I can get a new one off ebay or from Renault, for £20-£30quid
the thing is a few threads recommend removing the stereo to replace it.

Is there a way to replace it without removing the stereo and cage?
Can I just pull the hazard panel off and get to it that way, or is that the PITA way of doing it?

I want to do it myself so I don't have to pay more than £30quid to fix it.

Can anyone that's replaced it themselves give me a few pointers? :D

Piece of piss to change mate. It is better if you remove the stereo as you need to get the faceplate for the Hazard panel. Once out, unclip cable, it should come loose with a little persuasion, put new one in...reclip...test (before putting panel back in place), and done and dusted.

I replaced my switch recenty and didnt remove my stereo (oem)

Mine came out with the help of a flat screwdriver. A bit pikey but it worked!

Although the above way doesnt seem to much extra work tbh.

Ok, sounds like I should be able to figure it out then,
i'll dig out the stereo key things just incase the lazy man/pikey way doesn't work. ;)

I've got 2 months before the MOTs up, i'm sure i'll be able to get it fixed in that time. lol

Cheers for the advice lads. :D
