His conclusion echoes my thoughts, it really isn't worth getting a HD screen unless you're going to be watchin a lot of HD content, 2012 for freeview HD? Jeez!

Yer I think it sums up well, basically no real need to rush out and get a HD TV yet, unless you really want to get the odd bit of HD content which for me doesn't justify it.

That said, if you're buying a new telly, it might as well be HD ready, although you'd probably be onto your next telly before you get complete HD.

Agreed, if my CRT TV went tits up I would certainly get a HD LCD.

Disappointing that it may well be another 5-6 years for Freeview HD though

i know its 1080i and 1080p, how could you not know anything about HD with the amount of shite that gets posted on this forum about it, be better if there was an 'HD Section' so that the rest of us dont have to trail thru the HD posts to get to something informative

it bores me too but people just dont know enough about it and this is always a friendly place to find out. I would say use the search button in most of these threads but thats kinda knackard just now..
