Head lights knackered

Hi, i was driving to work this morning at 5:30, through some dark country lanes, 'my headlights set to auto mode'. Then as i came through some villege, the headlights started flickering on and off, very fastly. The relay under the dashboard was flickeing and buzzing...... any ideas as to what has gone on.....

I quickly changed them to override using the light switch, but it still was buzzing. However when i drive home in the dark, all is fine?????

Is the relay on the way out or is this just renault electrics?

maybe street lights through village sending sensor mad ?

valver driver myself so just a stab in the dark

Its more than likely the relay on the 'blink' (sorry) that was the problem with mine.
