Head Unit Change

Hi there everyone, i got this for xmas:

Now i'm wanting to fit it later this week but i've never done a head unit change b4 so would you recommend getting some1 to do it so its right, or are they simple enough to do??

Also when i take my original cd player out i'll need a code to get it to work again, i've looked in my paper work and i don't have 1 written down, so i'll have to phone renault up, does anyone know if they charge you to get the code (being renault) and if so how much?

hey...
a headunit change is so easy it is untrue..! You will need the radio removal keys which you can buy from most car spares place for bout £2! Then push them in the holes and pull out the headunit! Then take the 3 plugs off of the back and install just the 2 big plugs on the new headunit, as you wont have anywhere to put the yellow plug ...( this is for you stalk control next to the steering wheel and the display in the mddile of the dash!)

Also for the code... renault sometimes charges and sometimes dont, i have found it best to ring them up instead and just say... my fuse had blown for the radio so i have changed it but now it is asking for the code, however i seemed to have lost it... could you please give it to me?!?!

iu was the same until a few days ago

it is the easiest thing ever

the only problems you might face is with the aerial lead (connection on the back of h.u. may be wrong type but easilly sorted with a lead converting the aeriel lead to a male fitting)

and you may also have abit of problems (well i did) tucking the cables away behind the headunit but it is possible you just need plenty of light
