head unit help

Hi im sorry if this has been posted before but i have a 2003 mk2 clio 1.2 16v, it came with an aftermarket headunit in unfortunately and i have 2 problems that i coould do with help please.

1: the radio doesnt get a good reception, can this be fixed??

2: the steering wheel controls, can you buy an adapter so it works the head unit??

If anyone can help i would be really grateful!

1. Stubby aerial? If so try out another, longer one. Stubby ones tend to be shite.
2. Depends on the head unit. What model is it? You can get a patch lead & cable for some. Circa £3 and £25 each respectively (you'll need both) that will make the steering wheel controls work.
