Head Unit Wires

Just fitting my new head unit and ive found some random wires which im not sure what they do?

First is a red wire which has a bullet connector on it

Second is a blue wire (similar to remote) which has a bullet connector on it

Are these wires for the steering wheel control thing?

Also on the ISO connectors (car wires not head unit) the Blue and Orange wires have been cut, now then do these need reconnecting?

Think these wires just mean you can work the head unit without the ignition switched. Or Vice versa, in that the headunit switches off when you switch off engine. Each to their own preference!!

LoL, they would be the wires which are on the iso plug tho (bit connected to head unit)

the wires im talking about are a blue/grey wire and a red wire which just seem to disappear into nothing!

The blue and orange wire i was on about before are the same on my nova loom so they are ok being cut and covered, the steering control is a thick grey wire with a block on the end of it which is completly useless.

Im just confused to what the red and blue/grey ones do?

Another question, does anyone else have a lock inside their glovebox? i have a key on my keys which i didnt have a clue of what it did but it fits this lock and turns it, is it to do with the air bag or something?
