Headlight Change.. Insurance???

  2006 Renault Clio 1.2
Hi,

I am thinking of changing my headlights on my clio. I will not be changing the surrounds or holders but will just be fitting new whiter bulbs.

They are white and 100% road legal however i do not know whether to tell the insurers or not??? surely its the same senario as if the bulbs had just blown and i had to buy new ones??

Help would be much appreciated.
Cheers :)

No way. You really think they are going to be looking at lightbulbs lol

You don't tell them when you change a tyre or a put a new Magic Tree in do you :)

already bought, was just about to fit and when i realised, a. do i need to tell insurers? and b. it is way to dark to see what am doing!

have to do it 2moz, need to prepare my hands for being savaged by the various clips and obstacles that the air con has to offer.

on a 1.2?!

if it stops you sleeping,
give them a call, but i wouldnt bother
theoretically it offers no performance increase and betters your visibility at night to both you and other road users,
if it were a fair system it should bring it down.
but i can imagine it would

we get some seriously stupid threads on here about what to declare on your insurance...
I find common sense never goes a miss!
