Headlight Problem!!

Hi all, i bought my 172 2 days ago and noticed that one headlight is fine and the other one is facing down, with it been the 172 it has xenons and i looked at the bulb and it wont seem to screw in properly, like asif the thing it screws into has something missing as it just wont stay in place :/

i bought a set of new bulbs i wonder if it could be part of the bulb that has snapped but really dont know about these.

any help would be appreciated.
