does anyone know why the nearside front headlight does not work on dip or full beam on my wifes 1.4 rt 1995, would it be the bulb or is there a fuse for it.i have not got a handbook yet so dont know which fuse to check

More then likely be the bulb.

Replace them and see. If it was a fuse both side would not work in most cases.
