headlights beam height

Ok, this is probably going to be a really stupid question but..... how do you lower the beam height on the 182 headlights? The twidly bit next to the ESP button seems to only dim the control panel lights and Im convinced Im dazzling other drivers.... but there again that may just be the 182s good loks... :p

LOL I just knew it was gonna be a stupid question! Cheers blink172!

P.S. does that mean that if I take the car to the continent I dont have to put a sticker on the headlight? OMG, not another stupid question, surely!?!?!?

er, how would they adjust automatically then?

e.g. what if you were a smuggling contraband across the country with a couple of hundred ks in the boot - youd get sussed in no time!!

...ive thought mine have been a bit high ever since ive had the 182, but no-ones flashed me yet.

There is some sort of sensor that as the back end drops the lights compensate. But i think if you looked like the usual granada thats just come off the ferry dragging its ass along the road you might get pulled.

They wont automatically swap left-right for the continent (How would they know), but iirc there is a switch on them (I might be talking bollox, but im sure i heard someone say there was one)

Impressive stuff indeed!!

(living in cambridge, there are no real hills to speak of, but will see if the ol multi-story car parks do anything)

When I reverse my car out of the garage onto the drive which is slopped I can hear and see them adjust as I close the garage door.

There is a sensor on the rear axle iirc. When I pull up on the kerb outside my house I can hear the servo adjusting. All this on a £12k car. Fantastic.

I was in the kitchen at work the other day talking about how Id used the speed restrictor after being pulled over. Then the cruise and traction came into the conversation, the girl off reception was stood behind me and said "what sort of car have you got, its got everything on it?" I just replied "its just a Clio". To which she replied "it must be a very special one". Ahhhh bless.

I sent her some pictures and some clips of my 172 being ragged at Pod. She cant believe I thrash my cars like that. LOL

You tend to take for granted the spec you have. My friend bought his missus a 1 month old BMW 320 cab for Easter ( shocking I know, more money than sense) and he cant get his head around how my little clio is better specced than her Bimma.... Love it.

Amazing for the money.

Cruise Control with Speed limiter

Xenon Headlamps

Climate Control

Automatic Headlamps

Automatic Wipers with smart rear wiper

ESP with Traction Control

On-board Computer

Leather and Suede seats

Boot net:p

The list just goes on......:D
