headunit losing power?

Basically the problem is I'll be playing music and the volume just drops and the sound goes to s**t. Any ideas?

I have a small sub and amp too, I've changed the sub and amp over and it's a bit better but still does it after a while.

I honestly don't know mate. I'm sure someone who knows will be along with some advice soon enough.

I had similar issues on my R5 gt turbo years ago and a new battery sorted it.

the head unit with have thermal protection and some have awful ways of doing it

the power of your stuff has nothing to do with it. it's all how it's setup

Ok I get you, the headunit is a kenwood, KDC - 6047u if that makes any difference.

I just changed it for another that came with the car, went for a drive and it's fine, no problems. That really annoys me as it's horrible to use, and basic as basic gets.
