Headunit Problems

My stereo suddenly stopped workin other day,its not the unit itself cos checked it,checked all connections its all still connected,power is coming on just no sound coming out.

Need help quick!!!

no sound at all, so no power 2 speaker cables mayb??

have u got a voltmeter thing?? could c if theres any current at all going 2 the speaker wires

could b the internal amp im thinkin!!!

did it stop working after u having it quite loud

i had just bin bootin it was on kinda loud then nothing,how do u do internal amp??

its a kenwood flip down mp3 thing,any ideas??

Sounds like no power going to speaker cable like

dont think ull b able 2 fix it urself, isit still under warranty or anything like that

sounds like ull have 2 send it off or take it sumwhere 2 b fixed although im no expert

ur better off going on talkaudio forums, they know their stuff over there

do a search for talkaudio or similar on yahoo, should find it

check the fuse in the back of the wiring loom behind the headunit.

fuse should be fine as the hu is getting power i think he said, just no power 2 speakers

take it all display works on hu etc and it turns on, u just get no sound

YEH MATE EVERYTHIN WORKS APART FROM THAT,I PUT IT IN MATES CAR AND IT WORKED SO NOT SURE IF ITS BROKE??

I GOT IT FROM ABROAD MITE BE MY WIRING CONNECTOR??

You got decent speakers in it? Just wonder if you blew the speakers. Best bet though is to run a new wire from the hu to the door speaker and see if it works. If it does start looking at the multiplug etc.

it could be that the speaker wire is shorting somwhere, so the HU is going into a protection mode try new speaker cables, and as dangermouse said also different speakers, its unlikly that both would go at the same time, but possible (especially if it was just off and HU)

i will have a look tonight unless my exhaust comes today,in which case ill e fitting that.
