Heated Mirrors (Round 2)...

After testing the Heated Mirrors on the valver Ive found out that one could fry an egg (Passenger) and the other could make Ice cubes (Drivers)...

In simple terms my Drivers side one doesnt work!

Where would the problem likely to be on it? Could It be a dodgy wire or are they seperate fuses on both sides?

Cmon answer meeeeeeeeeee!

Im just guessing but I think the problem may lie in the drivers side mirror.

oh and its probably the heating element, either that or the wire between the heating element and the relay, it shouldnt be the relay as the passenger one is comming on as you said.

they can corrode quite badly.

Mine is also the same althpough did work before. Told its either the connection or wire on the back of the glass. Will probably break the glass trying to remove it anyway so gonna get new one.

Apparently only a Renault item as GSF etc are mirror only with no element (or thats what they have said)

So my valver will have heated mirrors? How do you make em come on?

I believe they come on when you put the rear demister on, that is certainly the case with the 172s, you can tell if they are working, just switch the rear demister on and wait a minute, touch the glass it should be warm to the touch.

When you say get a new one what exactly are you getting new? the glass or the whole mirror?
