Heated Mirrors

Just been looking through an old valver brochure I have and it says the electric mirrors are heated?!

Are they?!

If so how do you get them on? And here I was thhinking I knew all there was to know - Pish!

On my cup, it works when I put the rear window de-mister on.

they are heated, behind the glass is an element embedded in plastic sheet, you can see the 2 wires behind the glass

it should work all the time

Check fuses and connections

They work off the switch for the rear windscreen, switch that on and itll switch the heated wing mirrors on. Only 1 works on my RT though and thats the passenger side one, means I have to stick me hand out the window to clean the drivers one lol

out of 3 clios only one side has worked on each of them

i thought they should be like. do they feel warm when u turn em on? u sure the phase 1 mirrors are?

Well they have come in very handy recently.. you actually get steam comming off the 172 ones if you leave em on for 5 minutes (takes about 5 minutes for the rear screen to de-ice)

i had steam coming off mine yesterday morning. first time i have seen that.. it was bloody cold the car though!
