Heater stuck on hot ?

Hi, bought my Clio mk3 1.2 and the aircon/heater was running perfectly then after a few weeks when I turned the temperature control from hot to cold it became very stiff. Now it wont go over from hot to cold at all and infact springs back to hot if you try forcing it over. anyone had this before or anyone know any solutions? cheers.
