Heatshield for backboxes

On the 182

basically whats happened is the heatshield has come away on the rear drivers side and split, now i loosened the nut and tucked in what i could under the washer but it came loose again.

is it possible to use self tapping screws to hold this corner in place as the whole rear left box section of the heat shield is loose and on revving and driving causes a rasp given the exhaust a nova overtone LOL, obviously i want to sort this.

Thinking its not a good idea to remove the heatshield completely LOL

same as mine...i just unscrewed the bolt and put the biggest washer i could find, to hold it on..

i had originally tucked it under the bolt, but the edges will split again...

yeah i'm gonna raid the stores tonight for a big penny washer, should solve it
