Heatshield rattle

My delightful 30mile round trip to work is being ruined by a heatshield rattle - the rear by the silencer and fuel tank - can i take this off? Would heat wrap be adequate to stop the car from exploding? Do i even need to wrap it? - miltek fitted

I removed the one on my 182 and it's been fine on track days and long drives, no heat problems.

Boot floor gets slightly warm to the touch.
