Helix clutch help

  Some of a Clio 1.8 16v
Hi all, I've got the clio in bits at the mo and have noticed the paddle clutch doesn't seem to have a lot of meat on the plates. I'm not sure however if it needs replacing or not because I'm not sure these friction materials wear in the same way as a STD clutch. If any of you know the thickness specs or have a link to them it'd be a vast help.

Cheers.

That's along the lines I'm thinking, although the clutch has only been in there around 3000 miles I have had a lot of bad luck and been stuck in a lot of slow traffic. I'd say there's around 1mm of friction material before the rivets but i remember from my minimoto days that ceramic clutches don't wear like sintered ones. As far as I remember ceramic clutches once they're worn in they turn black and don't really wear down much beyond that.

I didn't take much notice of mine when I fitted it new, took it out last night whilst stripping gear box and like u say there is only about a mm on it iv only done 600 mile, asked about and that's app how they are mate

we did 10K in a season on our paddle and saw about 0.3mm wear or something daft like that, from memory theyre only about 7.5-8mm thick (overall) new

this is what mine looked like

Oooooh that sounds like what I was hoping to hear as thats a cost I can avoid in this very costly rebuild!!
