Hi. I am pretty new to the Renault scene. Been into hot hatches for years but recently I took a descision to buy a new 1.2 extreme in black. I am very happy with the car, especially its mpg!! I am 29 y/o and live in north east uk (Teesside). Got loads of questions need answering and hopefully my experience with other marques can help you guys out to.

Thanks guys. Due to me being a daddy next year mods will be limited I think but I will make it mine! Was thinking to leave the engine and concentrate on ice and maybe stiffen the suspension a bit like my old saxo vtr, a.k.a go-kart lol

What are you getting out of it mpg wise? My record over a tank was around 55mpg on the computer but that was during the summer. I was down to 48 in the winter!

The 55 involved free wheeling down hills and not giving people lifts if I could help it to save weight!

I have only done 250miles so far but the trip meter says 42mpg - by the way I can not seem to get an instant mpg, only an average since last reset. Also my car comes with only front and tweeters. Do you think the rear speaker wiring is behind the speaker grills in the back? I am using an alternative break in method....http://www.mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htm. 55mpg is really good my friend, you must have drove with no shoes!!!

What other hatches have you owned then? Im moving onto the 182 after a charade turbo, fiesta si, 2 x 106gti's and a 306 Rallye (as well as a 328i Sport and current M Roadster) . . . im running out of decent hot hatches to try lol

Such high mpg is only something i could ever dream about
