Hello from a Williams owner!

Hi all, been looking at this forum for a while now and finally decided to join!

I own a Clio Williams 3 and next year I hope to be purchasing a clio 182/clio trophy.

I obviously know a decent amount about the trophy, and I know one of the main specialities of the car are the unique sachs dampers. I would really appreciate some basic information on these I.e. I've heard they are adjustable - is this true? Are they coilovers or standard dampers/springs? Can you lower the clio trophy by any means? Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks

James

Indeed!

Welcome along James. I've just done the opposite to you and gone from a Trophy to mk1!

The Sachs are adjustable in the sense that once they have been unpinned, you are able to adjust the damping. You can't lower them like coilovers though, although some have put Eibach Sportlines on them to drop the height ever so slightly.

They're bloody fantastic cars, I miss mine tbh.

Thanks, yeah i've seen your post, nice red mk1 you have there! Ok well that makes sense about the suspension thanks for the info. I always think trophys need a tiny bit of lowering (10-20mm), any idea how much eibach sportlines lower the trophy by?
