Hello from Megane owner

Hi! I currently own a Megane Coupe which I am thinking about replacing with a Clio 172 so I've joined to gain some knowledge.

My megane was involved in a minor accident the other day so I am weighing up whether to repair it and keep it for a while or use the money to buy a new car.

So...hello! I hope I am welcome, even without a Clio!

Hello! I'm a Megane owner too - but used to have a 182.

You're very welcome :)

Are you thinking of getting a Clio?

Yep. Thinking of a phase 1 172. Want to start doing some track days and although a slightly damaged (and now worthless) car is probably a good base I think any money spent would be better spent on a Clio.

^^ reading fail by me :(

Have a look in the for sale section. Generally the Clios for sale on here are pretty well looked after.

It's worth paying the tenner for membership too :)

I got mine for £2k if that helps. I've spent about £1.5k getting it to its current form though haha.

Welcome, as said they aren't that expensive now.

Mines cost me a small country's debt so far though ;)

I was looking at ones for around £2k. My Megane needs a few things doing and after the accident I don't know if its worth spending the money on anymore

Most of the stuff I've spent on mine is modifications TBH. But for £2k expect it to need its belts doing (£500ish)
