Hello there

  1991 BNR32 GTR
Thought I'd say hello as I've now signed up - my name is Ben and I've joined as I'm in the process looking for a Clio 172 / 182 for track racing, being a fan of forums the first thing I thought was "There must be a forum out there for Clios" hey presto here I am - I promise to use the search function before asking any questions :).

I currently run a 420FWHP R32GTR but it's just eats money being used as a track car so after asking lots of people the way to go a few choices were offered, 205 Gti or Clio 172 / 182 - I've always liked the clios so currently hankering after a MKII Ph1 (if that's the right designation for a 2001 172).

welcome. The 2000-01 is a mk2 ph1 yes. And what mighty fine car it is. If you're serious about buying a clio its well worth signing up and taking advantage of the guides on here, especially the mk2 ph1 buyers guide!

- Yep I'm very keen to get my hands on a 172 - basic plan is to strip it, cage it, stick a pair of sparco's in it - then after doing my research fit new suspension and brakes.

Mr Bognor, do you have any further details on your Clio?.

I remember a number of clio's at Marham last year and they were going well - initially I was looking for a 1.9 205 Gti but they are just falling apart - I had a couple back on the 90's ... but the clio seems a much better idea and looks pretty damn fine too.
