Hello

Hi ive just registered with the site thought i would say hello, Im planning looking at a clio 182 cup so thought it would be a god idea to check the forum.
My brother had a 172 years ago and ithought it was a cracking wee car, and i fancied something fun again after my old 306 diesel gave up the ghost lol.
I have had evos etc before but fancy something fun but not to over the top so started looking at 182s;) Last hatch i had was an ep3 civic type r which was an all round decent car but fancy one of these now.

anyway, this seems a good forum and thanks for letting me gibber on lol

Hi Jekyll how are ya? nothing in particular mate, fancied a "hot hatch" and there is a clean one for sale within a reasonable distance from me that i like the look of, spoke to the seller and he seems upfront about the car and plan to look at her soon, had a few hatches before and then various cars like evos then usual diesel motors but now can go for a weekend use car for fun blasts and the 182 appealed to me, hope thats of help mate.

That's cool mate. I know they come with less luxuries than non cup or cup packed ones. No xenon, cloth interior, no climate control.

Non cups and cup packed cone with the above. Cup packs are bigger rear spoiler, front lip, anthracite coloured wheels and wider track and slightly stiffer springs (I think)

Non cupped 182s have a front hub bolt spacing of 54mm so if your thinking of going down a coilover route you'll have more options than cup and cup packed 182s which have a bolt spacing if 60mm which there are less coilovers for.

Yeah i think you're better off going for a 'full fat' model which is a mixture of cup and non cup.

Unless you dont care about the luxuries :)
