HELP - 16v gearbox

Ive got posible big problems brewing!

The box is sweet as a bell untill you do some work either sit at sensible motorway speeds for a while (1/2 hour or so), sit in trafic so it gets hot or trash it changing gear at high revs. Then she grinds like a bugger into 2nd 3rd or 5th. Let her calm down and she returns to normal?!? It only got about 5k on the new clutch so shouldnt be that. The cars got 72k on the clock?

Any ideas or can anyone recomed a gear box place near chelmsford?

Really dont want to pull out of the track day because of it!!

Hey hey! Im near Chelmsford too! Havent seen that many valvers around though - what colours yours??

As for gearbox places, im not too sure - im having some work done at Torsion Tuning which isnt too far from Chelmsford - they could probably sort you out!?

First things first check to see if there is enough oil in it then check for leaks etc. If these are both ok then I would have it looked at as soon as poss, as it could only be something minor and by leaving it you could make things worse. So try not to thrash it untill you have had it looked at.

You could also try changing the gearbox oil to fully synthetic, a few people have had good results with this.

Already checked oil level and its fine. The oil was a good colour to not dark or burnt looking.

Do want to take it to a garage but gearboxes normally need gearbox specialists and I really want a place thats been recommended. Im getting close to just picking one out the yellow pages!!

Its red with Chinese and japanese symbols by the way ... how abouts yours?

Mines black with 17" Superleggeras, i dont recall seeing a valver about with chinese symbols on it anywhere?!
Perhaps ill see you at a cliosport meet sometime soon?

Anyone recommed a gearbox place then. Really want to get it looked at asap so I can get her on the track in France!!

Torsion Tuning is by Witham, its in the middle of nowhere!!
Only about 10 minutes drive from chelmsford though, if you need directions ill sort you out some.
