Help! 172 Aftermarket HU URGENT!!

  Megane Trophy
Right I have a sony headunit and im trying to fit this into my 172 2002

I bought the autoleads kit for the car which is fine
But it has a long cable with a red plug on the end, im assuming this is for the MFD - display on the dash?
and the little box (099-X01) has a little cable with a headphone type jack on the end?

Where abouts do these need to go, as from the standard headunit ive removed the iso plugs and then theres a small plug (blue - changer)
and a yellow for the display.
But i have nowhere for these to plug in

any ideas
and if i need to get to the back of the display thing how do i do that?

Cheers

Im not totally sure mate?
The cd player works but the stalk controls dont as i have no idea where there supposed to plug into?

Will i need to take the dash off to fit this long red plug to the back of the display?

if so how do i rmeove the dash then??

Yeh apprently so, and i need to plug the other one into the back of the display,
Anyone know how to remove the dash?

Yeah would have thought it goes into the back of the head unit as it controls the steering wheel contols

To get to the clock its a dash off job, well is in my mk2 v6. The dash is the same as in my mates 172 cup.

The steering wheel controls are plugged into the clock and then the clock is plugged into the stereo.

Its alot of work to get the dash off you need to undo all the screws in the vent where the air for the windscreen comes out, under the plastic trim above the glove box, sum in the fuse box, there everywhere.
I give up in the end.

If you can live without them i wouldnt bother.
They are quite handy i knowits just alot of screws and hasstle.:)

Off the top of my head you need to remove the A Pillar covers and there are screws in the screen vents, under the aluminuim dash trim and I think theres are few in other places its not that difficult (apparently). Can scan the pages of the haynes manual for this if you want.

al

  ST on the way...
The little jack plug goes into the back of the HU, it's for the steering wheel controls.

Yeh i know where there all going now.
Couldnt pull the the door seal off though, didnt want to ruin it, and the a pillar covers seemed a bit tight.
Il wait till i get a haynes manual and then have a go at this, seems silly as i have a £500 headunit with all the leads, may as well install it

Are the screw just either end of dash, and under the steering wheel?

Or is there more than that??
