*HELP* - Amp cable in Mk1 172

Can anyone help? I did a search for similar topics and it seems that on most Mk2 172s people have been able to run power cable from the engine bay through the bonnet release hole in the passenger side and into the boot. I cannot find this hole on my Mk1 172 and dont know if it will be the same set up. Surely the cars cant be too different? Does anyone know an easy way to do it?

Got to get my Stereo set up for the R-Tec meet in Feb!!!

my dash is identical to yours you need to trace the bonnet cable and make the hole bigger easy as that

I used the bonnet release cable in my Mk1 just trace it back from the front of the car.
