Help! Aux input/sub on standard stereo?

Hiya
I'm new to the forum and am due to pick up my new 182 this week.

Id like to have an aux lead for my iPhone using the standard stereo so I can still use my music stalk by the steering wheel too... Does anyone know if this is possible? Maybe having the aux through to the glovebox or something?

Also, can I wire a sub into the standard head unit too? I'd really prefer not to change the head unit!
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks guys x

Welcome to CS.

With reference to the AUX input, it's possible with either a Connects2 or Dension adapter which connects to the rear of the standard headunit via the CD changer input. These are circa £30.

Yes it is. Personally I would buy a new head unit and stalk adapter cables.

And for the subwoofer you would need to take a line of the rear speakers and connect it to the high level input on the sub woofer.

But as I say, get a new stereo, will be easier and better. Plus you will be able to control the sub from your head unit

For the aux you can go to MT Audio who is a member on here and im sure the aux is no more than £15 and that has instructions for it to be wired out the bottom cup holder by the ash tray

Subwoofer wise it is better with a headunit change but i run mine off a standard head unit and still sounds fantastic but i havent used the hi input on the sub i have bought this box which is from amercia mx-2 i think its called which works the same as a hi input but the quality is a lot better

i will be selling mine as my amp has come to its death after 4 years of brutal sounds

I have an aux lead and sub on my standard head unit. You can buy the aux leads and RCA cable adaptors from ebay, dirt cheap!! Saves you buying a new headunit and standard radios look better than a bulky aftermarket one. My opinion anyway.
