Help: Bird S**t Mark

S2H

  RS Clio 200
Big mark on the door. Cleaned the poop off but it's left a proper stain. It looks like its on the surface but won't come off. Any ideas? Cheers.

Everyone has a bottle, try autoglym super resin polish with a microfibre cloth. If that doesn't improve it then more than likely it's damaged the clearcoat and will need a proper correcting compound used by machine

Do you have any paint polishes?

If it was left on for ages it may need wetsanding out, but you might be able to remove it or improve it with a decent polish.

Got bird s**t on my car today at work, got home and got it off but as its been sat in direct sun light had pretty much baked on and left a mark! Super resin polish won't do anything so seeing a body shop tomorrow night to see if they can machine it out!

what would you expect to pay?

They wanted £35 plus Vat and to book me in!

If they worked just the area the stain is, it would look rubbish and stand out as the rest of the panel won't match.

at the end of the day, you went to a business that needs to make money. That price is probably only basic labour charge.

find a detailing hobbyist on here that's local to run over the panel for a few beers tokens. Isnt magpieV6 close to Bedfordshire area?
