HELP!!!!! Clio clutch pedal not returning

  Renault Clio 1.5 06
I was in traffic and put my clutch in to change gear and it just stayed on the floor and didn't return a little smoke came from the car and a braking fault signal came up on the dash, the previous day I heard squeaking from the breaks too? Maybe there's something?
I've been told the clutch is fine by a experienced mechanic
The list we think it could be is
• master cylinder
• slave cylinder
• clutch return spring
I'm not sure though I'm a amateur I'm trying to learn....
Thank you in advance

It's a 1.5 dci and I was hoping it was simple so hopefully, I know it's not a sport but this is the best site for help

Check the pressure dampener on the hydraulic supply line first isn't leaking. Then if that's okay check for fluid coming from the wrap hole in the underside of the gearbox.

If it's the dampener leaking then its a pretty cheap fix but you have to route the pipe work correctly and then bleed the clutch (enjoy).

Also check that it's not extremely low brake fluid which has allowed air in to the system.
