Help. Clutch, :(

Just driving back from work. Went to change into 3rd. And as I went to accelerate, it jut revved its balls off. Clutch peddle gone dealt aoft top half then really stiff bottom half. It goes into all the gears ok. But when I try set off, it only bites as the clutch is right out, bit as I try to accelerated a little more it just revs,

I'm now stuck at the side of the road. Any ideas?

Sounds like you need a new clutch.
Best way to drive with a shagged clutch is to be very, very light on the throttle. You can use loads of revs and low load, sometimes helps.
