Help de-badging a mk 1 Clio

Hi, I want to remove the rear badges on my mark 1 clio, but need to know if taking the badges off would leave holes? If anyone has an experience in de-badging a mark 1 clio please help.

Thanks

On a phase 1 you dont have the problem of badges on the paintwork but they are on the plastic strip instead. As far as I can remember, the Renault one is stuck on, the Clio one has two lugs behind that hold it in place, and therefore, two small holes in the plastic strip. An easy debadging can be done on the phase 1 by basically popping the tailgate, unscrew the plastic trim strip and throw it in the bin complete with the badges, then just replace with a phase 2 smoked plastic job which comes smooth and without any badges (phase 2 badges being on the paintwork rather than the plastic strips). Job done.

if its a phase 1 just buy a phase 2 boot strip from Andy spares, thats what ive done and it looks good, ive also got phase 2 rear clusters on my phase 1....

definately a good thing to do and simple too, improves the back of the motor ten fold!!

Agree about the phase 2 boot strip - stripping, filling and painting my phase 1 job was too much hassle - get thee to a scrappy pronto
