my mate at work has a 53 plate 1.2. He has recently had a new clutch fitted after it was slipping. He is now saying that when he is cruising in lower revs and puts his foot down the power stutters and then it carries on fine. he said it used to just be in 5th but now its happening in most the gears.
Any ideas?

egr valve or tps from what i have read? i cant find the guide which people have talked about in the past regarding cleaning the egr valve

They do not have EGR valves. Sounds like you have a misfire under load. Coil packs are weak as are spark plugs and leads aswell. Check them all.
