HELP - going garage in a few hours

Sorry for brevity but need help, hopefully some of u guys have had the same problem. Got water leak and I think its either of these:

How much for waterpump replacement and fitting?

How much for cyclinder head gasket replace and fitting?

Need to know quick as Im going garage in a few hours....Thanks in advance

head gaskit full head set kit u are looking at £5-600 + vat

What car is it fella???

As Night Icon said is expensive. Although would imagine fitting is a little less for smaller engined cars. If you have a valver. Will be a high figure as they are a f**ker to work on!

the HG went on my old valver, cost £1200 to sort it!

Its a N reg Clio RT 1.4L...NOT Williams....please tell me it will be cheaper!!

dont panic! i had prob with one of my cars! it ended up just been a slight split in one of the pipes lol

Thanks for oofer cliosportcraig, but just been to garage and confirmed its the water pump. They said they should probably change the cambelt as well at the same time. TOTAL £265 does this sound reasonable??

You dont have to do the cam at the same time, its on a different belt. But while it is off you could do the cambelt. What miles has the car got on it?

Sound like an okish price.

Change the belt aswell !! Just for peace of mind !! thats not a bad price for both !!

Me being a cheap arse...Im thinking of getting some stop leak stuff. Hopefully this may plug any bad seals on the pump.

Does anyone think this will be a temporary solution say for a few months? or am i wasting my time??

Ive recently changed mine !! Mine went because there was a big rusted hole in it !! i dont think the rad weld or similar will help much really !! Might block it up for a bit but not worth it !!

If you wanna go cheap replace it yourself, they are only £15 ish for a pump !!

ill change it for a tonne

Tempted to do it myself...will I need to have undercar access? Or can I do it from the top?
