all the 1.2's have it
its down to a crap breather setup/non frequent oil changes
give it a good blast up the motorway then check it;)

The plastic cam covers let moisture in too. My old 1.2 used to get it and it used to get 100+ mile motorway runs twice a weeks.

Emulsified oil. If you are only doing short journey's in it that will contribute. Go for a good drive and get the engine throughly warm and it will probably all go.

  Mondeo TXS Bardge.
mine has it right now but i dunno is 20 miles a short journey the engine gets plenty warm, but i was taking it at a grannys pace today. once all the panic fuel buying has calmed down i'll take it for a blast if i can get some bloody fuel.

i was checking my air filter tonight as when it was services a few k ago it was clean (26k on the origional one??) any how i looked at the filter and its getting a new on at the week end, but i looked in the oil filler and i was like ohhh shizzle, my dad came out and was like a doom monger as my saxo had it but that was a bucket, and the clio has only done 30k. but as long as its only a temporary problem a thash will sort its a bit of a relief.

I Reading on the net apprenly fully synthetic oil stops this happening is this true? and is there any bennefit to using fully synthetic over what ever renault put in my engine?

Mine always did it and it got regular 100 mile motorway journeys, I don't think you'll ever stop it. As long it theres nothing on the dipstick and its not excessive then you're fine.
