help! leaking oilness! mk1

hey! came out of work to find oil pretty much surrounding the car.

seems to be coming from the front somewhere.

i know absolutely nothing about engines etc.

its done that a few times, just today it looked alot worse.

any help is awesome! thanks. - Sam

check the oil level before you drive it, then look around it with a torch

Have you checked the basics? Oil filter/sump plug & washer/filler cap tight etc

seriously i know sweet f*** all. all i know is theres oil coming from somewhere...

u no how u sometimes see old cars with oil around them in the puddles next to them... like that.

Either get it to a local garage that aren't going to charge you a bomb, or have you got any mates in the know?

or if your ever out near currie let me know and I'll have a quick spy at it if you want. I'm no expert but I know my way around the engine to have a quick look for you. Is the level of the oil decreasing much?
