Help me get more PC powa!

Been playing a lot of assetto corsa (400+ hours now). I can't seem to get the graphics to look good. So... This is what my pc currently looks like...

CPU: Intel i5 2400 3.1ghz (Socket 1155)
Motherboard: Asus p8268-MPro
GPU: Saphire HD7970 3 GB (gddr5) boost.
Ram: Corsair Vengence 16GB (4x4)
PSU (alienware 875W)
Hard drives: 1TB in raid 0 + 1 SSD

Now, I know my CPU is a little old. But apart from that I don't know where to go with the rig. Can I upgrade this so it lasts a little longer, or should I bin it off and start a fresh?

Realistically John, I'd target your graphics setup for an immediate quick-fix. The excellent nVidia GTX970's are out now and offer plenty of bang for your buck.
You could purchase a new mobo, CPU and memory - but for your Assetto addiction, I would simply revamp your gfx.
