help needed

For some reason my car poped out of gear the other day and when trying to pick the gears back up then, nothing. so i assumed the clutch had gone, rang renault assistance they sent the aa bobs your uncle *****'s your aunt. anyway the car was sent to a renault dealer.specialist local, so found out the driveshaft had sheerd and the gear box has nackerd. i dont know how, iv only had the car a month and half, and i give it a lil push here and there but thats the point of having a 182, i havnt been ott init. anyway thought it would all be fixed under manufactures warranty, but because the cars got no service history renault are thinking twice about fixing it, but as i said to them i have'n had the car 2 months and when i bought it i didn have no service history, i didn think anything of it as the car only had 28k on the clock and i didn think a service was due untill 30k, according to renault though the car has to be serviced every 12k, now im in s**t street, any advice on what todo?? the garage i bought the car from are still trying to get the previous owner for the info on the car... its not looking good i must say and i estimat well over 1.5k to get it fixed f i have to pay. i need some help. do you think trading standards can help if it turns out renault or the garage i bought the car from wont pay?

The car was damaged by the last owner who IMO knew the issue existed and sold it knowing the next onwer will have to pay to fix there abuse.

Being as you got to car cheap most likly and have no warently and are the second or more onwer no wonder Renault won't pay up should have had the car bough with a proper evaluation I'd never buy a hot hatch with no proper delaershoip stamp there cheap to buy anjd somtimes expensive to run and owners cannot afford to properly so skimp ie you having no proper service history.

Do you blame Renault for refusing to pay up the last onwer damaged the car and you expect them to pay out for abuse they can only build so much idiot proofing and strenght into parts.

I'd get trading standards to help you approch the garage you should have a warently with the garage for the car and either get them to fix it or ask for your money back.

i dont to know what to do hence wyh im asking for advice.... i have the money to pay for the damage but i feel roobed if i do have to pay im now suffering because som wanker has not lookied after his car properly....
im in a rite pickle i got a few months warranty off the garage i bought it from so technically its still under warranty.

I'd go to the garage and say its under warently if nto approcah trading standards and they shoul db ebale to assist either getting a refusd or a free fix. Its under warently for 3 month legally trading starndard will be able to adise.
