Does anybody please have any idea as to what could be the problem with my Series 1 (As in 1991/2 Race Series Version) Clio Cups gearbox?
The car is in race trim but road legal and I recently hurredly put the car in to reverse and heard a horrid grinding noise!
The car is now stuck in 1st gear (and drives fine in that gear) but the gear knob is in the reverse position and will not move from this position in to any of the forward gears.
Could it be a gear selection or syncromesh problem? The gear selection mechanism beneath the car seems to be alright.
Any thoughts or useful information would be very much appreciated.
